Some Important Personal Finance Reminders This Week

1. Don’t be lax or confident when traveling business class.

Some passengers or flight attendants can be thieves. They can stealthily grab a sleeping passenger’s bag and steal his credit, debit, or other bank cards and use it to purchase diamonds or the latest iPhone in various countries.

Hence, never trust anybody. In business class cabins, ensure that one’s carry-on luggage or bag is invisible to everybody.

2. People’s lifestyles and how they are funded vary.

Hence, people should mind their own business. After all, a lifestyle suitable for one does not mean it is also appropriate for another since people’s sources of income differ from one another.

3. Raising children is expensive.

Saving money when a person already has children or raising a family is difficult. When one becomes a parent, his expenses are different and more than when he was still single.

During pregnancy and a child’s first year of life, a parent can expect many expenditures to settle. These payables do not even include other costs such as the baby’s actual delivery, the child’s education, college tuition, and so forth.

Some of the ways to save money when a person is already married with children are:

a. Plan the family’s meal for the week.
b. Make birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations simple.
c. Be true to one’s financial situation.
d. Be frugal with entertainment.
e. Purchase reusable and second-hand merchandise.
f. Buy other brands, since they can be cheaper than one’s usual choice but with good quality.
g. Explain the significance of saving money to one’s children.
h. Plan family vacations.
i. Use cash when shopping to prevent going over budget and impulse buying.
j. Take care of one’s health.
k. Create other income sources.
