“Retirement-ready” is such a beauteous compound adjective. This particular term is now my favorite as it precisely describes one of my present objectives. I admire and feel glad about my Baby Boomer parents who are presently enjoying their retired lives. They have a lot of free time on their hands.
My retired parents can watch a movie anytime, dine out, visit any place they fancy locally and overseas, and so forth — all because they are done with the working stage of their lives and are currently relishing their sizable monthly pensions.
Saving and investing regularly makes me retirement-ready. Being a single female millennial, I’m focused on achieving this ideal personal finance situation at the soonest possible time if possible. I have no problem avoiding distractions or anything unnecessary and does not contribute towards my target’s accomplishment. If something or someone is going in the direction which is opposite mine, I eliminate this element in my life in no time. For me, it’s that simple!
In my retired years, I surely want to relish the same pleasures, yet it will be much more frequently: Travel abroad and locally and savor delicious food. Of course, I need to take care of my health and that is already a given (Tell me what I don’t know !). Additionally, I’ll carry on with my favorite and enriching pastimes, which are reading and writing about personal finance, international finance, and all other things related to money.
Anyhow, yes, being retirement-ready is such a fantastic life circumstance. I affirm that I am already “retirement-ready” to make my target seamlessly within my reach. American self-help author Wayne Dyer advised, “The more you see yourself as what you’d like to become and act as if what you want is already there, the more you’ll activate those dormant forces that will collaborate to transform your dream into your reality.”
Mr. Dyer’s inspiring words direct me towards visualizing the person I aspire to be — that is, “retirement-ready.” Through this action of self-perception, I imagine my desired future self. Moreover, this mental image aids me in aligning my beliefs with my goals.
Mr. Dyer taught me to begin behaving as if my desired result is already a reality instead of waiting for circumstances to change. The motivational speaker’s enriching advice is for me to take actions that are consistent with my specific objective of becoming retirement-ready. This mindset shift can certainly make a positive feedback loop.
I recall that Mr. Dyer’s words of manifestation have similarities with those of “The Alchemist” author Paulo Coelho. This Brazilian best-selling author alluded to the Law of Attraction when he remarked, “When you want something with all of your heart, the universe conspires to helping you achieve it.”

Anyhow, Mr. Dyer has two other motivational statements that inspire me to attain my target of being retirement-ready at the soonest possible time. They are:
1. “If you want to experience prosperity at a miraculous level, you must leave behind your old ways of thinking and develop a new way of imagining what is possible for you to experience in your life.”
2. “You will see it when you believe it.”
These words of wisdom will effectively guide me as I head towards my much-coveted destination of retirement-readiness.
