My family and I love rejuvenating four-star and five-star hotel staycations. Last February 20 to 22, 2024, we had a wonderful staycation at Shangri-La The Fort in the Philippines to celebrate my 40th birthday. Shangri-La The Fort offers a truly five-star hotel staycation experience to guests.
My family and I booked two hotel rooms. Upon entry, my 16-year-old niece and myself had fun playing volleyball with the birthday balloons with shades of yellow and gold, which are Shangri-La’s motif hues. Then, we turned on the TV and the “Find Your Shangri-La” hotel advertisement welcomed us. This promotional video featured the mesmerizing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” tune.
My niece and I gladly explored the hotel in the afternoon of our first day while my parents and older sister slept as they were quite exhausted from our 17-hour flight. My niece loved the extensive 25-meter swimming pool she enjoyed on the morning of our second day.
Shangri-La The Fort in Manila has several restaurants. My family and I dined at nearly all of them, including the Bake House for our after-lunch coffee, Samba for our first night’s dinner, High Street Lounge for our dessert and after-dinner coffee, and High Street Cafe for our two scrumptious continental breakfasts.
My family and I certainly adore everything about Shangri-La The Fort. Our two hotel rooms offered breathtaking views of the Bonifacio Global City or BGC skyline. Everything in Shangri-La The Fort was spick and span and high-class. Additionally, we love the relaxing, hotel-standard quietness in our hotel rooms. The staff members were responsive and polite.
Moreover, as a five-star international hotel, Shangri-La The Fort provided us with L’Occitane Jasmin and Bergamot perfumed soap and body wash, Sir Thomas J. Lipton teabags with assorted flavors such as chamomile, English breakfast, and peppermint, and other first-class brands of amenities.
My 40th milestone birthday celebration with my family was just the way I desired it: Peaceful and absolutely memorable. I’m definitely very ecstatic to see Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Shangri-La The Fort in Manila with the four people who are the nearest and dearest to me. Aging healthfully and happily is certainly a privilege with my excellent health being my greatest asset. After all, not everyone gets to reach old age and relish this advantage in sound health.
I must say Shangri-La The Fort is the best five-star hotel in the Philippines. My family and I will definitely come back many times next time and explore other five-star hotel brands, including the seven-star Burj Al Arab Jumeirah in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
