Investments are like plants.

Investments are similar to plants and fruit-bearing trees. Investors do not harvest the fruits or the returns of what they planted as soon as tomorrow.
It takes many years for investments to grow. These investment instruments include stocks, bonds, time deposits, and so forth. Thus, the returns on investment (or the “fruits”) are harvestable after a long period.
It is wise to invest early once an investor already has the funds (or the “seeds”) to invest (or “plant”). In this manner, he can take advantage of and benefit from a long time horizon in which his investment is growing.
