Happiness and pleasure should not be costly at all. (10 Images)
~ Monday, December 19, 2022 Blog Post ~
As I get older, I’m getting tired of the fine, branded things already. Like I mentioned in one of my blog entries lately, I’ve become more practical with my time and money. Additionally, I appreciate the simpler, affordable things more now, in which I find meaning, happiness, and tranquility.
Although I receive luxurious things such as vacations, staycations, digital devices, and so forth from friends and family, I have actually always been uninterested in luxury. My older sister once called me “cheap” when she asked me what present I wanted to receive for Christmas.
I’ve grown tired of expensive things. I’m actually not really into luxury anymore because, like I said, I’m practical already. I just think fine things like luxury vacations, cars, clothing, and homes are nice to gaze at in glossy magazines and social media posts.
Anyway, this blog post features a small bakeshop in the Philippines. I appreciate how simple it is but helpful in the community. I also researched its owners and found two relevant videos which I am including in this blog entry.

The small bakeshop’s name is Alvarez Bakeshop based in San Pedro City, Laguna in the Philippines. I like how simple it is yet functional and useful in the community.
Besides being more practical, I prefer simpler and more affordable things as I grow older. As I’ve become more uninterested in luxurious things now, I also want a more peaceful existence. My Mommy told me that now that we — her two daughters — are adults, we should be relaxed already. I agree.
In sum, I want simpler, affordable, and meaningful things as I am practical and desiring relaxation and peace of mind more. I will follow this mantra beginning today through 2023 and onward. Again, I believe happiness and pleasure should not be expensive at all.
