About Mammon, the God of Avarice or Greed [11 Images]
~ Tuesday, November 1, 2022 Blog Post ~
I wrote and posted images about Mammon — who I understand is the God of Avarice or Greed — in my now-dormant Instagram page sometime in 2018. Of course and as always, that was just for fun — MY FUN ! Haha.
Now four years later, I want to write this blog post about that mythological figure that depicts AVARICE again and this time here on my Medium.com blog.
Well, I like the covetous, acquisitive, accumulative, greedy, and avaricious Mammon and he is related to my blog’s theme. Hahaha.
Wikipedia defined “Mammon” as pertaining to:
a) MONEY;
b) material wealth;
c) any entity that promises wealth; and
d) is associated with the greedy pursuit of gain.
Additionally, the website mentioned that “The Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke both quote Jesus using the word in a phrase often rendered in English as “You cannot serve both God and mammon.””
Wikipedia indicated that “Mammon in Hebrew (ממון) means “money”. The word was adopted to modern Hebrew to mean wealth.”
Anyway, here are 11 images containing relevant information about Mammon from my now-dormant Instagram page:
